According to a chat I had with Keith Baker a few months ago, the natives of Cyre pronounced it "kai-ree". Nearly every other nation tended to pronounce it their own way, however; some made it sound like "seer", others like "sire", with numerous variations. You could often tell a person's nationality by how they mispronounced it. (In that sense, it's sort of like New Orleans. Everyone has a different way of saying it.)
