If the failed Skill Roll is lower than the Difficulty, the skill of the character would have been enough, but the circumstances proved too challenging. If the circumstances change, the character may make another attempt.

If the failed Skill Roll is higher than the AV, the character has exceeded the limits of her ability. Th e character may not make another attempt at the action until she learns more about how to deal with the situation.
