Layers of GURPS Books and duct tape can be fashioned into a thick vest capable of providing some protection against knives, shotgun pellets, and shell fragments. It won’t tolerate water, though, and will come apart in damp weather. Constructing it requires an Armoury (Body Armor) roll at +5 – an IQ roll, if working at default – and 30 minutes’ work. Gives the torso DR 3. 18 lbs.
