I don't have a lot of detail to share, as Ascension's rules were never my strong point, but I can shed a little light. The system combines elements from 2e and Revised, and the game in general is more of a «new edition» than V20 and W20 were. Many of the additional mechanics from Revised supplements are presented as options either in the core book or the Book of Secrets.
You can see an abbreviated version of the system this weekend in quickstart being released for Free RPG Day. The quickstart includes a set of sample PCs, the core of the rules and magick system, and plot hooks.
If you can't get to a participating store, the quickstart will be released publicly in July, once the exclusivity period for Free RPG Day is over.
