Меня тут посетила идея фэнтези-сеттинга, в котором сильное подавляющее воздействие на магию оказывает такая обычная вещь как… железо. (Собственно, эта идея посетила меня как ответ на вопрос, почему маг не может испепелить рыцаря — потому что он, сцуко, в железных доспехах). Соответственно, во времена Бронзового века маги были на пике могущества (и строили пирамиды и зиккураты), а потом какой-то умник изобрёл кузнечный горн…

Только если у них струны из холодного железа. Учитывая то, какие отморозки эти Ши из Дома Эйзин, не удивлюсь, если в Скандинавии засилье металлистов именно этим фактом и вызвано.
